Combs is an exceptional avian veterinarian who is at this point
the primary avian veterinarian for Avalon Aviary. Dr. Combs sees a
significant number of birds on a regular basis. One thing that stands
out in my mind, other than his veterinary skills, is his compassion
and love for the animals. The way he holds each bird respectfully
and so as not to frighten them has impressed us as well as many of
our customers. He is in a brand new facility that is really amazing!

in avian medicine. He is a frequent lecturer at veterinary and avian-related
conferences throughout the country, has written numerous articles
on avian medicine and diseases, and been quoted in some of the foremost
avian medical books and journals. His cautious and “do just enough”
approach to medicine has benefited our birds and lots of birds in
